Painting Synopsis:

00:00 / 02:12

In his biography, Nya’ explicates how his mother would diurnally remind him how his re-born spirit was the epicenter of Life and sacred ground with the immense capacity to reform, revive, reinvigorate, recreate, rejuvenate, resuscitate and resurrect his mortal body as well as retain and grow into fruition every Word of Life meditatively implanted, diligently invested and persistently sown into it.

In this 2005 completed painting entitled “New Life, Old Windows,” Nya’ employs an opulent pallet to keenly peer into the hope birthing, faith maturing, light restoring and life-giving power of the incorruptible seed of the Word of Life. In essence, the preeminence of depositing into one’s spirit only the essential words intrinsically aligned to his divine purpose, work and assignment in the field of the world he was sent to earth to transform through his gift.

In the riveting verse that celebrates the canvas grounded composition, the artist wrote, and I quote,

My spirit is the sculptor of my vision
The theatre of my purpose
The surgeon of my thoughts
The cremator of my carnal will
The underwriter of my strength
And the wellspring of my glorious destiny...
