fear is an unrepentant colonizer
00:00 / 01:31

Synopsis:

This preparatory sketch for Nya’s work “Tablet of Prosperity,” exposes the impenitent nature of fear.

The grossly depicted figure, whose hands are covered in a litany of Scripture verses and is desperately clinging to two royal scepters rendered as prison bars depicts how the spirit of fear masterfully deploys religion and tradition as agents assigned to detain a person, family, society, community, nation, citizenry or ethnicity in the valley of conformity where they are bound to confuse deliverance from oppression as freedom from the spirit of the oppressor.

In his Kingdom Lexicon, Nya’ describes fear as an unrepentant colonizer, a tyrant, a jailor, prison warden and the chief perverter and persecutor of the innate leadership spirit every human being was granted to fulfill his or her divine assignment on earth.

The print was produced on the occasion of “Foundation of Conviction” a book that chronicles the journey of three important works from Nya’s Divine Inspiration series, namely, “Tablet of Prosperity,” “My Boathouse” and “Yonder of Eternal Excellency.”
