freedom granted by man only leads you to the invisible chains of his system of control
00:00 / 01:19

Synopsis:

This preparatory sketch for Nya’s work “The Babylonian Shepherd,” reveals how the misconception of deliverance as freedom retains a people in the control of their oppressor.

As depicted in the sketch by the gross darkness enveloping the wretched yet euphoric figures, even though a people might have changed their location, titles, social pedigree, economic status and names, as long as the mind is not renewed, they still possess a bondage mentality and hence think and act exactly the way they were programed and conditioned to think by the oppressor.

To that end, their behavior, diurnal conversations, habits and itinerary still resemble an oppressed mindset as further depicted in the sketch by the remnants of chains on the hands and feet of the figures.

The print was produced on the occasion of “A true leader abides in his identity” a book that employs x-rays from Nya’s work, “Heir of Inheritance,” to reveal the authentic source of Mankind’s identity.
